MTB Hawaii added 4 new photos to the album: MTB Hawaii live trail status features.

I've recently added the ability to view and update trail status at the website. Now when you view an individual trail page, you'll immediately see the most recent trail status at the top of the page. Further down the page you'll see more details, and a Trail Status Submit Form.

Each photo in this album gives a description of each new feature. In addition, check out an example on the Ohana Trail page:

www.mtbhawaii.com/trails/ohana_trail

There are some other great features as well such as elevation details and additional maps. This data comes from the Trailforks.com website and has been integrated into ours.

It's only useful if folks actually use it to keep the status of trails up-to-date. Plus it helps trail maintenance crews know what needs work! So please feel free to update it as you ride the trails!

MTB Hawaii shared SUNN's video.

Cool video of Kilian Bron shredding Madeira Island. I had a chance to spend a couple of weeks with Kilian last summer. Not only does he have a good heart, he kills it on the bike!

New Site Feature: We added a new feature to the website. We call it the Ride Planner. It is intended to help folks who are visiting Hawaii organize a ride. The planner puts together the resources you'll need to find trails, rent a bike and find someone to ride with together all on one page. As we receive feedback from folks and see how it goes, we'll improve it and make it as useful as possible.

www.mtbhawaii.com/rideplanner

In order to facilitate finding folks to ride with we've created a new Facebook group called 'We Go Ride'. We encourage locals and visitors alike to join the group, chat, share photos and make it a great place to meet folks to ride with.

Had a chance to get out for a little filming this evening. Mud has dried up, ground is tacky. Perfect conditions. Except the mosquitoes... you can hear them buzzing in the microphone. Shot the video with my new Sony A 6000. Very happy with it! ... See moreSee less
