There could not have been a more beautiful day for the 4th Annual Chillaxin All-mountain Race. The weather had cleared up to be the best conditions of the week. The course was nice and tacky without a rain drop in site. What was expected to be a 10-12min epic all-mountain course turned out to be a lung busting, adrenalin packed sprint of single track.

Trail List

Hau’ula Loop

Hau'ula Loop trail is not for the faint of heart. Although relatively short, around 3 miles, the trail is a steep climb packed full of roots and rocks that will prove a challenge to most.

Ka’ena Point

Located on the extreme north western edge of O'ahu. Ka'ena Point offers a mellow 12 mile there and back, cross country type ride.

Ka’iwi State Scenic Shoreline

Accessible from the same parking lot as Makapu'u Lighthouse Road, Ka'iwi State Scenic Shoreline is 20 acres of ridable terrain.

Kuli’ou’ou Ridge

Kuli'ou'ou Ridge Trail is a steep, technical, leg pumping, chest heaving, single track that will challenge most riders. Oh, it's fun too.

Laie Falls

Located on the North Shore of Hawaii, Laie Falls consists of over 17 miles of ridable trails. There is a little something for everyone out here.

Ma’akua Ridge

The Ma'akua Ridge Trail offers a challenging 3.35 mile single track loop. Although challenging the trail is beautiful with amazing ocean views and well worth the time.

Makapu’u Lighthouse Road

Located on the eastern tip of O'ahu, the Makapu'u Lighthouse trail is a 3 mile round trip ride on paved road.

Manana

Manana Trail is a fun there and back again ride. One way it runs about 2.75 miles giving you a solid 5.5 mile ride.

Old Pali Road

Old Pali Road is a great ride on a rainy day. Pretty much the entire trail is paved so mud and traction are not an issue. The trail is so overgrown with greenery that it feels like single track in many places. The views are spectacular.

Peacock to Kealia Loop

This trail has two loops, a 14 or 22 mile loop that is brutal... and one of my favorites on the island of O'ahu. Long, steep, gruesome climb, with a long fast downhill that will put a smile on your face.

Sunset Hills

What I consider to be the best cross country riding on the island. Miles of enjoyable, well maintained trails for riders of all skill levels.

West Kaunala

Located on the beautiful North Shore this 5 mile ride offers both challenging single track, steep jeep roads and a fast paved decent all the way to the ocean.

Wiliwilinui

Don't let this 3.2 mile round trip jeep road fool you. It may not be technical but it's a solid climb to the top.
